How do I commission a work of art?

We have a variety of options for you! You can request an acrylic painting, drawing, or digital file. Here are the steps to get ready to work with Tim and Kim Originals for your Original commission!

1. Take a look at our gallery to get an idea of previous commissions.

These are not all inclusive. You can request something that is not seen below. Subject to acceptance by Artist. We only work within the United States at this time.

Check our YOUTUBE Channel to see if your commission was filmed!

2. Consider your budget and available space.

We offer a range of sizes and prices to work within any budget. Keep in mind the larger and more detailed the piece, the higher the price*.

For example :
6” x 6” drawing is $108 (In Protective Sheet)
6” x 6” canvas painting is $108 (Stretched)
8” x 10” canvas painting is $240 (Stretched)
8.5” x 11” drawing is $280 (In Protective Sheet)
9” x 12” canvas painting is $324 (Stretched)
12” x 12” canvas painting is $432 (Stretched)
16” x 20” canvas painting is $960 (Stretched)

*payment options will be discussed after completion of form below.

3. Choose a good reference photo.

This photo is adorable but it has a few issues. The cat is in shadows due to the backlighting. There is a lack of contrast in the subject, and too much in the background. Also, the subject is mostly out of focus. It would not translate well to a drawing or painting.

This photo is a good reference for many reasons! The lighting provides clear details of the subject and some nice contrast. The cat is in focus and the background is simple. Finally, the pose is engaging which would make for a wonderful painting or drawing.

4. Review our Commission Agreement.

To make sure we are on the same page when working together, we will have you sign the below agreement when your commission is accepted by the artist. Both the Artist and Purchaser will have a copy to reference. Changes can be made, but no changes will be made to agreement without those changes made in writing with signatures from both the Artist and Purchaser. Thank you!
